More than just a card. This is an A5 (A6 when folded) piece of fine art which can be kept and treasured. I am a fine artist creating original artworks which are becoming collectors items. This is made with love and care. This is a thoughtful card which symbolises love through natural symbolism. There are tiny hearts in the eyes of the Love Birds. I selected the turquoise and teal tones because of their vibrancy. Turquoise is regarded as a sacred colour derived from a gemstone. Peony flowers are fully bloomed and are captured at their most beautiful moment.

This original painting is A1 size and was created using different layers of mixed media techniques. I wanted it to be decorative and ornamental. It started with ink effects and stencilling. By flipping my handmade seaweed stencils I created symmetry. This was inspired by the Art Nouveau Movement.
The main stylised shells were painted separately. I then positioned them carefully keeping the piece as symmetrically balanced as possible. The fish are inspired by the French jewellery and glassmaker Rene Lalique (love his work). To add movement and energy my main fish has extra swoosh:) The use of wet inks and patterns help to give the fish a wet and reflective look. If you look closely you will lots of mark making and embellishments.
The sea urchins and starfish add an illustrative feel. The overall feel of this piece was inspired by some Victorian Majolica ceramics. Majolica would have and may still be a feature of many Victorian homes. It's glossy and colourful raised reliefs are very tactile and eye-catching. Have a google to see some examples of Majolica, Art Nouveau and Lalique.
An acrylic painting which is inspired by an alternative viewpoint of Clevedon's Victorian Pier. Fresh modern colours to suit a coastal interior. An uplifting piece with an almost illustrative style.

This Border Collie exemplar is on a piece of A1 paper (594 x 841 mm). I have used a selection of paints, inks, charcoal and Conte to create this piece. The work is sprayed with a fixative and is UV protected - all ready to be framed :)
